Design Thinking Process

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to bringing new ideas to life.

Design thinking is not a rigid process, but successful efforts may include variations of four overlapping and flowing steps: Empathize, Define, Ideate and Implement. Ideas may cycle through several iterations before completing the process.

Design Thinking process flow from empathy, definition, ideation, and implementation.

 Empathize

Research, empathize and understand your users.

Define

Refine research findings, define users’ problems, form a theory.

Ideate

Explore a wide net of big ideas and possible solutions.

Implement

Narrow ideas, prototype and test ideas with team and users.
